Jello Legs

My crazy schedule has really made it tough to get in a good workout but I accomplished that today.  I left with jello legs and arms.  I really need to stick with my HIT cardio workout followed by strength.  I really noticed results from that in about a week's time.  I'm still following the one I mentioned a few weeks ago but I found one that sounds more interesting.

It's really focused on intervals whereas the cardio I am doing right now is to get in shape for constant running.  Afterall, the US women's soccer team uses it to get back in shape before the season starts.  I'm not sure how I feel about that level 8 incline at a 4 starting off.  I understand it's to get my heart rate up but whoa!

But I love that it's 20 minutes.  I don't really want to do more than that because I like going to the weight room afterwards.  My heart rate is still up and those endorphins are high.  I might give this a try tomorrow to see how it goes.

Anyway, this afternoon was cardio then weights.  And it was a full body workout.  I was doing weights five days a week after my cardio and alternating arms and legs/abs but I'm thinking full weights three times a week after cardio instead of partial weights five times a week will work with my schedule better.  It'll be kind of like getting a hard workout with a trainer three times a week.  We'll see.

Of course, I'm really worried about how my new job duties are going to affect all of this.  Seeing as work already interferes a lot I'm hoping it doesn't get worse.  I may have to start working out at lunch which I absolutely don't want to do because that will require a shower and then cramming food down my throat.  And I love to masticate.  (Get your minds out of the gutter.)  Again, we'll see.

I also got out of the habit of using MyFitnessPal to log my food but I made sure to do that today.  Except for dinner.  I'm not sure of the calories and servings and stuff but I only ate until I was satisfied rather than full to make up for that.  Oh, and I sort of regret the cookie I ate out of impulse but I can't pass up a chocolate chip cookie.  Ok, I can but I didn't want to.  And this is why Weight Watchers would never work for me.  I'd eat then count my points.  It doesn't really work well that way.

Obviously, I'm still trying to find my groove in the gym.  Hopefully I'll put together something soon that works well for me so I can stop experimenting.
