Being Bad

I did fantastic this week!!!!!!

Ok...that's a complete lie.  I was afraid God would strike me with lightening (while simultaneously frying my husband) if I didn't come clean after that statement.

Thursday was softball day which means I didn't go to the gym.  The MyFitnessPal said I burned about 300 calories I think.  I'd look it up but that would require me to take my phone off the charger and I just can't be bothered at this moment with accuracy.  But I think I burned way more than that by simply standing in the outfield dripping sweat from the humidity.  I literally tried to enter sweating into the exercise database to see if it existed as a workout.  Sadly, no.  Note to self, Google that later so you can add it.

Friday consisted of yet another day I didn't go to the gym.  Now, before anyone accuses me of falling off of the bandwagon already I have some 'splanin to do.  I decided to host a garage sale at the last minute at my house.  Anyone who has ever had a garage sale at their house will know that one usually plans and prepares for these things.  Not this lady.  I'm a fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants-whing-it-live-on-the-wild-side kind of gal.  Basically, in one evening, I pulled out enough stuff to make myself $186.00 worth of sales.  Most of it was baby clothes that A) my son will never wear because they are hideous or I can't be bothered with the complexity of overalls on a screaming newborn, chubby legged infant or wiggling toddler or B) if I have another baby boy, he will also never wear due to aforementioned hideousness.  So essentially, everything I sold from that lot was pure profit.  The rest was old stuff I've had in storage for two or more years or clothes I can no longer wear and don't want to wear if I do manager to drop back down in a size 10.  All of this was to say that I got a bit of a workout sweating in the evening, breeze-less night while rummaging through a storage building and climbing up and down a loft ladder repeatedly.  I marked it down as a couple of hours of moderate housework and rewarded myself with mexican food and a sopapilla.  I took one with only a slight amount of sugar and cinnamon and forwent the item formally known as butter.  Which I lovingly refer to as butter flavored and colored vegetable grease.  On second thought, we ate before we started setting up for the sale.  So, I'll justify that as a win.

Saturday was obviously a day of money making.  A normal person would sit on their butt all day and take money but for some reason it feels like I'm working retail again and I should be standing, greeting customers, engaging customers, all the while taking money and making sure I got the right sale amount written down for the right person.  The other person being my friend Krista whom lovingly brought the other half of the items we sold.  Between rushes we would straighten tables and baby wrangle since the guys were on baby duty 50% of the time.  I sweated my behind off and my back and feet were killing me by the time we closed shop.  Meaning?  After six hours of nonstop people I had a mexican pizza and a Dr Pepper from Taco Bell.  I entered all of the garage sale-ness in as moderate housework for six hours which gave me a whopping 1600 calories to eat at dinner.  Yes, I got really excited.  So, dinner was at Outback to celebrate a very successful garage sale for both ladies and I still ended the night 300 calories under my target intake.

Today...I was a bum.  Mainly because I went into work for six hours on my vacation so that I can take my vacation.  Don't ask.  Just nod and smile.  My house is still a wreck but I just needed to chill for a bit.  A waitress I haven't seen in a while told me I look like I've lost some weight.  That's a good feeling.  But I also think it was partly my shirt.  I have this one tshirt that fits me just right and I seem to always think it makes me look thinner.  I don't wear it for that reason...or do I? That's not as funny written here as it is in my head.  Anyway, I've ended up 100 calories under my goal without adding exercise but as I type this I'm starting to feel the beginning of hunger pains.  Maybe chugging a big glass of water will calm the storm so that I don't go get a bad for me snack.

That being said, I'm hitting the workout hard and heavy again starting tomorrow.  I'm aiming for two pounds lighter at the end of vacation.
